DIAmond Advanced Motorists now offers an accreditation service to all members of the DIA. (For those of you who don’t know, DIAmond is the training, testing and accreditation arm of the DIA.) The main aim of the accreditation service is to allow training providers to use the DIAmond logo in recognition of passing a quality assurance inspection.
The decision to offer this service has come about following us receiving more and more calls regarding accreditation from both DIA and DIAmond. It is something that we have been involved with in the Middle East over the last few years with a great deal of success. The main call for accreditation has come from members of the DIA who wish to provide CPD training including fleet and instructor training.
Our aims are simple:
- To establish minimum standards of training and assessment.
- To ensure that those individuals or companies seeking driver or instructor training are protected from inferior training.
- To promote DIAmond accredited providers to those seeking driver or instructor training.
- To offer assistance, where necessary, to existing providers.
What are the benefits?
The benefits for the provider are as follows:
- The opportunity to display the DIAmond accreditation logo on their training materials.
- Accredited providers will be listed in Driving Instructor magazine and the DIAmond website.
- All training establishments will receive a premises accreditation certificate to place in a prominent position.
- An annual inspection to ensure standards are maintained.
- The ability to offer advanced tests via our national network of over one hundred DIAmond Advanced Examiners.
- The benefits for those seeking training are:
- Peace of mind that they will receive training to meet their needs.
- A DIAmond CPD certificate upon successful completion of any DIAmond accredited course.
