The DIA has been the leading advocate of CPD for over 18 years, with the introduction of the Dip DI home study course.The DIA has introduced a range of courses and driving tests which have been designed to further the career of the ADI. The courses are continually reassessed in order to address current training needs.

Outline Guide to gaining a University Certificate in Driver Education towards full Academic Recognition for ADI’s

The DIA has been working with Middlesex University since 1991 in the development and operation of a University Certificate level, Driver Education qualification. This is being offered by the University, using their existing ‘Work Based Learning’ framework. The programme combines accreditation of experimental learning with an existing validated level 1 module. Seminars and Training

The DIA offers a comprehensive programme of seminars and training for all instructors. Some are annual events, others are meetings arranged in response to special requests to deal with particular issues.Training conferences are held regularly to provide Continuing Professional Development and to enable instructors to ensure their training methods are up-to-date,
efficient and effective.
