Welcome to the DIA Member CPD Programme run by DIAmond
We have developed a programme of courses to enhance your driving, training and business skills.
Our aim is to help you to produce an individual learning programme – by setting goals you will gain qualifications relevant to you, based on your aspirations and how you see your career progressing in the driver training industry.
Whether you qualified last year, or 20 years ago, there is a need to regularly review and update your current skills to enable you to offer the best service for your customers.
Put simply, with the rapid growth in areas like vehicle technology and the modern communications used by your clientele it is easy to become out of touch.
The DIA Member CPD Programme has been designed to be educational, practical and informative. It allows you to be innovative, acquiring new skills through a series of short courses, workshops, and practical driving assessments.
Courses are accredited by DIAmond or Educational Development International (EDI) – an international body recognised by colleges, universities and industry. Some courses will work towards higher qualifications, such as the Diploma in Driver Education, which in turn can count towards credits for a degree.
Most courses will be run as half-day workshops at locations around the country, using DIAmond-registered trainers, making them easily accessible to members and avoiding the need for you to take too much time out of your diary.
Some of the longer courses may be a whole day or a series of one-day courses. There will also be online courses available, such as the Award in ADI Knowledge and the Award in Business Knowledge, both of which will work towards the new diploma and the DIAmond Advanced Instructor qualifications.
As a DIA member you already have access to our unique and easy-to-use CPD diary facility that allows you to keep track of all of your CPD as conveniently as possible. Our system is the first of its kind.
You are also free to download either a summary or all of your records of achievement whenever you need to. A guide is available to help you use the diary, which could be the first subject in your personal development portfolio and first CPD diary entry.
To register for the DIA Member CPD Programme, you will be required to complete a 50-question online theory test. After completion, it will be submitted to us for marking, we will then contact you to discuss your Individual Learning Programme.
